After twenty-six years of service as a government school teacher, a man in this area was relieved of his duties due to having secured the job with falsified documents, according to an official’s statement on Saturday.
Nand Kishore, residing in Kalyangarh Nagarhan village within the Vihar development block area, held the position of an assistant teacher at Atarsui Primary School, as confirmed by Basic Shiksha Adhikari (BSA) Bhupendra Singh.
A complaint lodged via the chief minister’s portal by Chandrika Prasad Mishra, a fellow villager, alleged that the teacher had employed fraudulent means to secure his government position, shared Singh.
Consequently, Kishore was served a notice requesting submission of his high school marksheet and certificate for scrutiny, as detailed by the BSA.
Upon review of his documents, it was discovered that Kishore had taken the high school exam in 1975, scoring 48 marks, with his recorded date of birth listed as October 28, 1958.
Later, Kishore appeared for the high school exam again in 1984, achieving 312 marks, and subsequently altered his date of birth on official documents to October 28, 1964, the BSA revealed.
Kishore had been appointed as an assistant teacher on July 31, 1997.
Upon uncovering these inconsistencies, Kishore was relieved of his teaching duties on Friday, marking the end of his twenty-six-year tenure as a government school teacher, reported the BSA.
