Somaiya Vidyavihar University, a leading institution in India, and Evonik India, a prominent specialty chemical company, have awarded scholarships to 27 female MSc students under the “Grow Beyond Yourself” initiative. This program, which provides financial aid to academically talented but financially challenged students, has contributed INR 32 lakhs this year.

The scholarships are based on academic performance and eligibility, with continued support throughout the students’ academic journey. In addition, Evonik will offer training to enhance their employability. The scholarship recipients for 2024-25 were selected by the Somaiya Vidyavihar University scholarship committee and Ms. Vidya Gopinath, CSR Lead for Evonik India.

The awards were presented by Mr. Vinod Paremal, President and Managing Director of Evonik India, and other senior leaders, in the presence of Shri Samir Somaiya, Chancellor of Somaiya Vidyavihar University, and other university officials.

Somaiya Vidyavihar University also offers other scholarships worth over ₹20 crore to support students from various disciplines, underscoring its commitment to accessible education for all.
