In the city of Indore, Madhya Pradesh, a disturbing incident unfolded where three Grade 4 students reportedly assaulted a classmate with a geometry compass more than 100 times during a fight at a private school. The motive behind the altercation among the children, all below 10 years old, remains unclear. Authorities are currently probing whether the students may have been influenced by violent scenes in video games.

Taking serious note of the incident, the local Child Welfare Committee (CWC) has formally requested a comprehensive report from the police. CWC Chairperson Pallavi Porwal expressed deep concern, describing the case as shocking. The committee intends to counsel the involved children and their families, exploring potential links to violent video games.

The father of the victim has lodged a complaint, alleging that his son sustained puncture wounds during the attack that occurred at the school around 2 pm on November 24. Despite seeking answers, he claimed that the school management has not provided the CCTV footage of the classroom. A formal complaint has been filed with the Aerodrome police station.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Vivek Singh Chauhan confirmed that the victim underwent a medical examination following the complaint. Emphasizing that all children involved are below 10 years old, he assured that appropriate legal measures are being taken in response to the incident.
