Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must have completed their education under the 10+2+3 (15 years) or 11+1+3 (15 years) pattern.
- The undergraduate degree must be from a UGC-recognized university.
- The qualifying examination must be conducted by a recognized educational board (State Board, CBSE, or equivalent).
Ineligibility
- Candidates who completed their UG/PG degrees through an Open University System without first passing SSLC (11 years) + PUC (1 year) or 10+2 are not eligible.
- Degrees obtained through an Additional Degree Programme of less than three years are not eligible.
- Candidates who completed a Four-Year Dual Degree Programme with two major subjects are not eligible.
Subject-Specific Criteria
- Double/Triple Major UG Degree Holders must choose only one major subject for admission. However, marks obtained in all majors will be considered for percentage calculation.
- Postgraduate Degree Holders in Home Science, Economics, Commerce, Political Science, Sociology, Psychology, Logic, Indian Culture, and Philosophy are eligible if:
- They have secured a minimum of 50% marks in PG.
- Their UG and PG degrees are in the same subject.
- Five-Year Integrated PG Degree Holders (10+2+5 or 11+1+5 pattern) are eligible with marks considered as follows:
- For Tamil, English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, History, Geography, and Computer Science: Marks from the first three years are considered.
- For Home Science, Economics, Commerce, Political Science, Sociology, Psychology, Logic, Indian Culture, and Philosophy: Marks from the last two years are considered.
Admission Process & Fees
- Admissions follow the university’s deadline each academic year.
- The annual fee for the B.Ed. program is ₹70,000.
