Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have completed their education under the 10+2+3 (15 years) or 11+1+3 (15 years) pattern.
The undergraduate degree must be from a UGC-recognized university.
The qualifying examination must be conducted by a recognized educational board (State Board, CBSE, or equivalent).

Ineligibility

Candidates who completed their UG/PG degrees through an Open University System without first passing SSLC (11 years) + PUC (1 year) or 10+2 are not eligible.
Degrees obtained through an Additional Degree Programme of less than three years are not eligible.
Candidates who completed a Four-Year Dual Degree Programme with two major subjects are not eligible.

Subject-Specific Criteria

Double/Triple Major UG Degree Holders must choose only one major subject for admission. However, marks obtained in all majors will be considered for percentage calculation.
Postgraduate Degree Holders in Home Science, Economics, Commerce, Political Science, Sociology, Psychology, Logic, Indian Culture, and Philosophy are eligible if:
- They have secured a minimum of 50% marks in PG.
- Their UG and PG degrees are in the same subject.
Five-Year Integrated PG Degree Holders (10+2+5 or 11+1+5 pattern) are eligible with marks considered as follows:
- For Tamil, English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, History, Geography, and Computer Science: Marks from the first three years are considered.
- For Home Science, Economics, Commerce, Political Science, Sociology, Psychology, Logic, Indian Culture, and Philosophy: Marks from the last two years are considered.
