Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies (MRIIRS) has achieved impressive rankings in the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2025, which assess universities worldwide on their contributions to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
At the state level, MRIIRS ranked first in Haryana across seven key SDGs: No Poverty (SDG 1), Zero Hunger (SDG 2), Gender Equality (SDG 5), Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure (SDG 9), Sustainable Cities and Communities (SDG 11), Responsible Consumption and Production (SDG 12) and Life Below Water (SDG 14). It also ranked second in Haryana for Good Health and Well-being (SDG 3), Climate Action (SDG 13), and Life on Land (SDG 15), and third for Clean Water and Sanitation (SDG 6).
Within Delhi NCR, MRIIRS secured the top position in Gender Equality (SDG 5) and Innovation (SDG 9), second in SDG 12, and fifth in Affordable and Clean Energy (SDG 7).
At the national level, the university continues to perform strongly, ranking 9th in India for Gender Equality, 11th for Zero Hunger, and 11th for Life Below Water.
The institution’s leadership credited this achievement to the integrated efforts of faculty, students, and administrators. They highlighted that the rankings reflect Manav Rachna’s strategic focus on creating inclusive, sustainable, and innovation-driven campuses.
The university stated that these rankings validate its ongoing initiatives in education aligned with sustainability and societal well-being. The strong showing in areas such as gender equality, clean water, and innovation demonstrates the tangible outcomes of its academic, research, and community engagement efforts.
MRIIRS has consistently featured in THE Impact Rankings over the past three years, underlining its sustained dedication to global priorities with local relevance. The rankings evaluate universities on their contributions across research, community outreach, sustainability initiatives, and teaching innovation—areas where MRIIRS continues to excel.
