Jamia Hamdard University, New Delhi is a deemed university accredited with Grade A by NAAC. It was founded by Hakeem Abdul Hameed and was inaugurated by Late Shri Rajiv Gandhi on August 01, 1989. The university was founded with the aim of providing higher learning in Unani Medicine, Islamic Studies, Biosciences, Pharmacy, Nursing and other areas of knowledge. Over the years, it has emerged as an outstanding institution of higher education in the fields of Information Technology, Computer Applications, Business Management, Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy. Undergraduate programmes in Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy are new introductions in the university’s offerings. Jamia Hamdard also offers doctoral programmes for the students from different spheres of life.
Campus
The campus hosts world class infrastructure to facilitate the all round personality development of its students. Facilities include a well resourced library featuring a rich collection of contemporary books, a Computer centre, convention centre, fully equipped hospital with all modern diagnostic equipments, canteen, hostel and sports facilities. The campus also hosts a mosque and residential facility for the staff members.

Placements: The placement cell of the Jamia Hamdard University annually invites a large number of reputed companies to participate in the campus placement drives. The placement cell provides career counselling and training to students in choosing the correct career path. To take part in the campus placement drives, students have to register for placements and pay the placement registration fees. Recent placement highlights- 2019-20: In the 2019-20 placement drive, a total of 158 students from 4-year UG courses were placed in reputed companies while 129 opted for higher education. The median salary stood at INR 3.5 LPA. Among 5-year UG course students, 32 were placed and 45 opted for higher education, the median salary being INR 7.8 LPA. Among 2-year PG students, 251 students were placed with the median salary of INR 4.5 LPA offered, while 40 students opted for higher education. For 3-year PG students, 16 students were placed with the median salary of INR 7.6 LPA being offered.

Undergraduate Admission- M.B.B.S., B.P.T., B.O.T., B.Sc. (Medical), B.Pharm. Selection Criteria: NEET UG score/rank Eligibility: 10+2 with PCB from a recognised board with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks. Admission Procedure:
