On Monday, the Union Education Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan, held a meeting with the Australian Minister for Health and Aged Care, Mark Butler. During the meeting, they reached an agreement to collaborate in the domains of skill development and meeting the worldwide requirements for a skilled workforce.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Education, the ministers engaged in productive discussions centered on achieving mutual recognition of qualifications in nursing and age-care related courses. This would involve the exchange of training content and the alignment of skills. Additionally, they deliberated on strategies to reduce costs and language proficiency barriers, aiming to facilitate the smooth entry of skilled professionals.

The statement further emphasized that both ministers concurred on the importance of working collectively to fulfill shared objectives in the prioritized areas of skill development. This partnership is not only aimed at enhancing skilling initiatives but also at addressing the global demands for a proficient workforce.
