Overview

Promoted in 2008, BLDE Deemed University, Vijayapura was set up with the objective of providing quality medical education and meeting the health care needs of the people in the North Karnataka region. Shri B M Patil Medical College, Hospital & Research Centre is the only constituent college of the university. The university is committed to promote sustainable development of higher education including health sciences education consistent with statutory and regulatory requirements.

Campus

The 45 acre university campus hosts a well-stocked central library featuring a rich collection of 18,404 books and 177 annual subscription journals. The BLDE University Central Research Laboratory (CRL) is equipped with high performance liquid chromatograph, elisa reader, uv-visible spectrophotometer, research centrifuge, refrigerated centrifuge, laboratory incubator, tissue homogenizer, ultrasonic bath and electrical water bath.
