Overview

Promoted in 1963 by the KLE Society as Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, KLE University, Belagavi is reckoned among the prominent universities in Karnataka today. It is a deemed university that offers undergraduate, postgraduate, post doctoral, fellowship and certificate programmes in the faculties of Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Ayurveda, Physiotherapy and Nursing. To match the concept of Global Village, the KLE University has signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with ICMR, WHO and several prominent universities in USA and South East Asia. The university strives to empower the students to become globally competent professionals.

Campus

Spread over 113 acres, the KLE University campus hosts modern facilities/amenities such as research labs, digital library, classrooms, amphitheatre, auditoriums and NRI hostels, cafeteria & supermarket, a gymnasium, an indoor stadium, food court, hostels, lawns, library, lecture halls, PG reading rooms, conference room, staff quarters, among others. The campus also hosts a state of the art teaching hospital and medical research centre with 1820 beds and top notch diagnostic facilities under one roof. Wi-Fi network, digital library, and e-learning facilities are also there. The entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled. The university has collaboration with MedRC and a Smart Teach server is established for students to access the high quality E-curricular content so that students can learn at their own pace as supplementary measure to the excellent classroom teaching.

Admission procedure For Ayurveda course, candidates who have qualified AIAPGET-2017 conducted by All India Institute of Ayurveda New Delhi are eligible to apply. Accommodation

The university offers separate hostels with all the modern amenities for boys and girls and NRI students. There are also residential staff quarters (single bed room, double bed room and three bed room) which cater to the needs of both the teaching and non teaching staff.
